My story
I came for a semester. I stayed forever.
It all started with Erasmus. I came for a semester and stayed forever. I started with "hola" and "gracias" – and it stuck. Spanish opened the door to how Spaniards actually live.
I learned that "vale" is a word for everything, that sobremesa is the time for a chat after lunch, and that tapas gratis with a beer really does exist. It's those small things that make you feel at home.
Today I help other people learn Spanish and feel at home in Spain – not just on holiday.
"If I made it, so can you."

Poland vs Spain
The key isn't perfection. It's feeling.
In Poland
- Lunch earlier and faster.
- Punctuality is strongly felt.
- Fewer spontaneous conversations with strangers.
In Spain
- Meals start later.
- People linger longer at the table and in the street.
- Everyday life is louder, warmer and more social.
Neither culture is better. But when you understand the differences, it's much easier to sound natural and feel at ease.
Playa de Calblanque
Wild beaches, crystal-clear water and a landscape that doesn't look like a typical resort.
My tip

The heart of the city is the cathedral, squares and evening light that sets the whole scene.
My tip

My tip

Manolo Bakes

My tip
Get a coffee to go and walk towards the cathedral.
